About the work: I use watercolour to represent uncomfortable events, so contradictng the inherent softness of the medium. This is the latest of my bomb pieces which I started in 2017.

Bio: Architect and designer who combines theory, practice and artistic speculation. He trained at the Architectural Associa$on in London, founded the NATØ radical architectural group in 1983, and expounded his ideas on narrative through buildings, furniture and model ci$es. Built extensively in Japan and the UK, including The Wall, Tokyo; and Museum of the Home, London. He led Architecture at the Royal College of Art from 1995-2011. His freehand drawings are in the collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum, London and M+ in Hong Kong. Books include Guide to Ecstacity (2003), Narrative Architecture (2012) and Lives in Architecture (2022).
