About the work: This was made in S E France in the Summer of 2023.  I doubt that the luminosity I was after could have been discovered (through colour relationships) anywhere else - there was a very particular and bright daylight on that lovely hillside. I offer it now to support this desperate cause.

Bio: Born in N Wales in 1954, Mali Morris is a painter who has been showing nationally and internationally since her first major exhibitions at Serpentine Summer Show 3, 1977, and Ikon Gallery Birmingham in 1979. She had work in many public and private collections, including British Council, Whitworth Manchester and Museum of Wales  Cardiff. Her most recent solo shows were at Hales New York, Ikon Gallery Birmingham, and currently Hatton Gallery Newcastle. She was elected to the Royal Academy of Arts in 2010, and in 2022 designed the Banners for Bond Street.
