Title:  Keep Dry Box

Media: Silkscreen, collage and linen thread on paper

Size: 25 x 35 cm

About the work: The current paintings I make incorporate records onto the surface of oil paint. I make collages that use up the leftover record covers. They are fixed in place with linen thread, a technique used in bookbinding. I live near the sea on the South Coast of England, a body of water that is a political football because of refugees crossing the Channel. For me, ‘Keep Dry’ refers not only to goods crossing oceans but to people making that perilous journey.
