About the work: Made from cutting up art books, just selecting the "white" drapery from old master paintings and rearranging to create a new image that follows a prearranged system of overlaying on a new page.

Bio: Guy Oliver is an artist/filmmaker. He graduated from the Royal College of Art (MA Painting) in 2015, his interdisciplinary practice employs video as well as painting, collage and performance. He was shortlisted for the Jarman Award 2021 and was the recipient of the Jerwood/Film & Video Umbrella Award 2020. In 2021, together with his partner, Lindsey Mendick, he founded Quench Gallery in Margate to support artists in a post-pandemic era.
