Anne Tallentire
Title: And now, drawing a
Year: 2024
Media: Adhesive opaque, matte tape and dust on paper
Size: 30 x 24.5 cm
About the work: 'And now, drawing a' reflects Tallentire’s interest in politics of location, dislocation and architecture. Working with everyday materials assembled in situ or rendered as diagrams her explorations reveal a long-standing interest in the performance of production. Here lines of coloured adhesive tape delineate and superimpose elements of a fragmented wooden pallet. During the process of making tiny particles of dust are caught in the tape disrupting the smooth surface of tape to produce an imprint in which the processes of making are embedded.
