Artist Fundraiser for

Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) UK

working in Palestine

Between 18th November - 1st December 2024 leading voices from across the field of contemporary art joined forces to raise funds for essential humanitarian aid for Palestine through an exhibition and major online art auction. 264 artists, architects, engineers, musicians, designers, contributed 312 artworks to the auction, which received an amazing 2,027 bids, raising a total of £332,741.15.

We know this is only a gesture in the face of the continued genocide in Gaza and violence in the West Bank. However, we have been inspired by what our community can achieve and hope this auction serves as a testament to what is possible when we come together, allowing us to reflect, not only on what we have done, but what more we can do.

Alongside the online auction, there was an exhibition of all donated works at 14 Wharf Road London, and a parallel programme “a system which starts at the heart” curated by Nabila Abel Nabia and Rahila Haque, of works and resources that contextualised the historical and contemporary situation in Palestine. The programme concluded in the 1st of December 2024 with a day of poetry readings, performance, workshops and films screenings.

The this website now serves as an archive of this initiative, with each page providing more information on each of the contributing artists and access to further resources.

“We stand as a collective voice in support of MSF and the essential work they are doing in Gaza and West Bank. We want to use our connections and friendships as artists to help this essential work at a desperate time.”

Organising Artists

We are deeply moved and grateful for the generosity of this collective of artists who have come together to support the work of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT). Their creativity and commitment are a testament to the power of art to inspire compassion and solidarity. These funds will have a direct impact on our ability to provide immediate life-saving medical care to some of the most marginalised people in society. On behalf of MSF, thank you for standing with us and the people of OPT in these challenging times.
